From minimum orders and artwork requirements to embroidery and delivery, we've answered the questions we hear most often.
What is your minimum order?
Most custom apparel orders have a minimum of 10 pieces. Small orders are great for testing a design or outfitting a small group, but most customers order 25+ pieces to take advantage of better pricing. We'll help you find the right balance between quantity, budget, and value for your project.
How much do custom shirts cost?
Pricing depends on the apparel style, decoration size and locations, and quantity ordered. Most custom T-shirt orders fall between $15–$30 per shirt, while premium garments and specialty decoration may cost more. We provide clear, no-obligation quotes before any work begins.
How long does an order take?
Most orders are completed within 6–8 business days after artwork approval. Larger orders, specialty products, or seasonal demand may require additional time. If you're working against a deadline, let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate your schedule.
Can you help with design?
Absolutely. Whether you have a finished logo, a rough sketch, or just an idea, we can help create apparel that looks great and represents your brand well. Our goal is to make the process easy, even if you've never ordered custom apparel before.
Will I see a proof before production?
Yes. Every order includes a digital mockup for your review and approval before production begins. The mockup shows your artwork, garment selection, print locations, colors, and sizing so you know exactly what to expect.
For embroidered items, we can also provide a stitch-out sample upon request. A stitch-out is a sample of the actual embroidery sewn onto fabric, allowing you to review the stitch quality, thread colors, and design details before your garments are produced.
Production begins only after you've approved the final proof.

Do you offer embroidery?
Yes. We offer embroidered apparel for polos, jackets, hats, aprons, workwear, bags, and other products where a premium, professional appearance is desired. Embroidery is a popular choice for employee uniforms and branded merchandise.
Do you offer custom hats and patches?
Yes. We offer embroidered hats, leather patch hats, faux leather patch hats, and other custom headwear options. Whether you're creating staff uniforms, merchandise, or promotional products, we can help you choose the right style for your brand.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes. While we're based in the Pacific Northwest, we work with businesses and organizations across the United States. Orders can be shipped directly to your location, and we'll provide tracking information once your order is on its way.
Can I mix sizes and garment types?
Usually, yes. Most orders can include a mix of sizes, and many projects can combine different garment styles as long as the decoration requirements remain compatible. We'll review your specific needs and recommend the most cost-effective approach.
Do I need to have artwork ready before contacting you?
No. Many customers contact us before their artwork is finalized. We can help guide you through the design process, recommend apparel options, and provide a quote even if your artwork is still being developed.
Do you have a showroom or retail location?
No. Thread Factor operates as a production-focused business and does not have a public showroom or retail storefront. This helps us keep overhead low and focus on delivering high-quality custom apparel at competitive prices.
